Tickets for this show include seating for groups of 3 or 4 and a curated set menu: 2 starters, 1 main course and 1 dessert per person. About the Event: O Gaanewali celebrates the music popularised by tawaifs and women musicians, bringing together Thumri, Dadra, Hori, Chaiti, Jhoola, Sawan, Kajari, Ghazal, and other allied forms. Blending storytelling with live music, the show recreates the intimate and interactive atmosphere of a traditional mehfil. It is led by a five-member ensemble of young musicians and vocalists trained under Vidushi Dr. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande of the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana. Having travelled across India with over 80 performances, O Gaanewali continues to evolve its repertoire and format while creating an accessible and immersive experience for contemporary audiences. About The Humming Tree: The Humming Tree is a grassroots performance venue that became a cornerstone of Bangalore's independent music, art, and cultural ecosystem during its original run from 2013 to 2019. Now, in 2026, The Humming Tree returns in a brand-new, purpose-designed space in Indiranagar. Built across 12,000 sq. ft., the venue features a 600+ capacity performance space, world-class sound and lighting systems, and a diverse food and beverage offering. More than just a venue, The Humming Tree is a hub for creativity, culture, and collaboration.
